Should I or shouldn't I?

Been thinking for quite some time if I should start blogging about my investing journey. What do I hope to achieve by sharing this journey? Will it be sustainable? Will I be discipline enough to continue writing for years to come?

All bloggers out there, do you have similar dilemma when you first started writing? Please comment and suggest your thoughts with me on this catch22 situation.

  1. First of all, congrats on getting started with blogging David. I personally put off starting my blog way too long and wish I had started it around the same time I started investing in individual stocks like some fellow bloggers have done. I hesitated to start a blog for most of the same reasons you list above. I was really concerned that I wouldn't have enough material to write about on a consistent basis. I ended up writing a lot of posts when I first started and spaced them out when it came to publishing so that way I wouldn't be so pressured to keep coming up with new content. I've since really slowed down with putting up new posts besides monthly updates. While I was frustrated at first with not keeping a good posting schedule, I realize now that its fine every once in a while to take a break. As long as you stick with it long-term and interact with others you'll be successful.

    Good luck!
